Defenders of free speech and immigrant rights are introducing an urgent resolution to the Burlington City Council to support free speech where it is most under attack: the right to criticize the U.S. supported war on Gaza. The powerful often first target those who they think are most vulnerable to repression, especially immigrants, for exercising their free speech rights on Palestine. This is an immediate threat to immigrant students, faculty, workers, and families in our community. This is where Trump’s first line of attack must be our first line of united defense. You don't have to live in Burlington to support this resolution and set an example for all of Vermont.
Read the free speech resolution and sign on to support it here.
