Dear Fellow NIMN-NH Members,

UNH held a COMMUNITY forum (or Town Hall) at 1pm on Tues, Sept 17 in the Granite State Room, to discuss the violent crackdown on antiwar protesters on May 1.   But the motion passed by the UNH Faculty Senate in May also called for a transparent investigation of May 1 events, and I don’t yet see a sign of that happening. (As an invited speaker at the protest, I was a witness to what happened, including police misbehavior, and I know that UNH has lied about it!). There is a lot of material available for an investigation, which should look at evidence (witness statements, videos & pics, FOIA documents, etc.). It may take public pressure and news-media coverage for a credible investigation to be done. For a solid overview of what actually occurred on May 1, see my three Town Council presentations (5-mins each). My full "witness statement" – available on request – contains additional documentation and source links.

PRESENTATION ONE: My 5-minute witness statement to the Durham Town Council on June 24, 2024, about how UNH & UNH PD misrepresented the violent crackdown on peaceful antiwar protesters, including falsifying an affidavit to justify a violent assault on an innocent student: “UNH Police & State Police actions on May 1, 2024 against Gaza antiwar protesters at UNH,” https://youtu.be/RbFcuHX0LwI, 670~ views as of Sept 15, 2024.

PRESENTATION TWO: My 5-min Aug 12, 2024, update for Town Council on UNH sticking to false claims, including about arrests of two protesters, “UNH Urgencies: Correct May 1 Falsehoods & Prevent Reoccurrences, https://youtu.be/_XKgU3obzvs, 160~ views as of Sept 15, 2024.

PRESENTATION THREE: My further update on Sept 9, 2024, Town Council, outlining issues that merit a credible investigation that examines the abundant available evidence, “UNH’s May 1st Assaults on Protesters – and on the Truth: Will there be a Real Investigation?” https://youtu.be/40obU9rshK8. You can also see the PPT slides (without the narration) at this LINK.
